CBC St Kilda holds the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility. 

The College is committed to providing a safe environment, where children and young people are safe and feel safe, and are able to actively participate in decisions that affect their lives.  At CBC St Kilda we have a zero tolerance for child abuse and are committed to acting in children’s best interests and keeping them safe from harm.  Central to the mission of the College is an unequivocal commitment to fostering the dignity, self-esteem and integrity of children and young people and providing them with a safe, supportive and enriching environment to develop spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.

The College’s child safety policies and procedures are developed in conjunction with, and endorsed by, our governing body, Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) and complement the EREA Code of Conduct and EREA Child Safe Code of Conduct, which detail, clarify and affirm the standards of behaviour expected for members of the EREA community, including members of our College community.
