Learning Support Officer (Teacher’s Aide) - Listed 02/08/2017

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for a fixed term 1.0FTE contract position of Learning Support Officer, commencing on 24 August 2017 and concluding on 15 December 2017. Preferred applicants would have a background in literacy and numeracy intervention. Applicants should also be skilled in working with boys and have the ability to support students who have a range of learning needs. This includes providing a variety of approaches to allow each boy to reach his full academic potential. LSOs are required to liaise professionally with students, parents, teachers and other Learning Support Officers.

Personal qualities include being an effective communicator and a team player; having an awareness and sensitivity to the needs of the teacher and the classroom environment and being mindful of the importance of discretion and confidentiality inherent in the position.

The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the College.
